Yeah the book isn't too "happy." But I find it satisfying when I can relate. Obviously it comes in waves since I myself am not intersexed. I get caught up in the parts that so truthfully describe the confusion and alienation that is youth. Makes you want to cry. Doesn't it? But like in the book the feeling is similar to find out a terrible secret but being relieved that it's finally been discovered.
